First Professional Commercial Product Shoot

Commercial Photography, General

Well my nerves were all over the place today……. I had my first official commercial product shoot today. I can seriously say this type of photography is hard as heck and you learn with each shoot you complete.

Egger’s Meats gave me an opportunity of a lifetime and I will admit I was super nervous fearing I wouldn’t capture what they were looking for BUT THEY LOVE THEM……. ok ok ok I cried I when I read their message they sent me.

So as of today, I can officially say I am a COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHER… I have to throw a shout out to Erik, Ira, Dr. Roth and Melissa as well as the amazing students that helped me on this journey.. OH AND Raymond Bush for going broke putting me through school and our sons Jayson Bush and Micheal Bush for always being there to support me…. AND EVERY FRIEND THAT HAS CHEERED ME ON.

THANK YOU EVERYONE

Apple Abstract Series

Abstract Photography, apple abstract series, General

I photographed one apple and decided to see if I could make a series of abstract photographs from the original image. I love the creativity you can come away with using one image…. never stop pushing yourself and keep expanding your art.

Chicken Tagine

General

Tagine cooking is becoming one of my favorite styles of preparing dinner for my family. Every meal I prepare comes out extremely savory and the meat is beyond tender.

The recipes I’ve been using are super easy to follow so when I find a new one I’m excited to present to my family and hear their comments which are fun to hear.

So if you haven’t tried to cook in a Tagine I highly recommend it…. it’s fun, easy and so tasty.

For My Friend

Clarissa Castor a fellow photography peer and her love of teapots was what inspired me to create this abstract piece this morning.

I used acrylic paint and a teapot stamp and tried to recreate her cute teapot she recently purchased and of course I seen ABSTRACT ART.

Spicy Sausage ADDICTING

General
I am really enjoying playing around the food photography, however I am learning there is an art the this photography and learning it will test your skills and nerves. These are amazing spicy sausages which can become extremely addictive. You can guarantee each Saturday you find us at our local butcher loading up on these and ensuring our fix for that week is met.

What’s For Dinner

General

Since I was very young, food has been heart and soul of our family. The women in our family were absolutely amazing at making meals everyone truly enjoyed.

I’ve returned to my youthful memories of food and its beauty by photographing the dinners I prepare for my own family.

The Moroccan Saffron Chicken cooked in the tagine was absolutely a gastric delight.

Cooking in the tagine was a little terrifying because it was my first time and I was super we’d eat tonight….. so far from the truth.
